The project aims at representing the modern image of Russia through the lenses of a traveler. "Russia from the Train Window" draws a new and yet eternal image of a vast country going far beyond ordinary and stereotypical perceptions. Photographer's pictures taken in the journey create an amazingly lively image of a multi-faceted, unique and inimitable country.

"Russia from the Train Window" is a series of author's photographic exhibitions following the same path and logically connected to each other.

Their general goal is to show 21st-century Russia from various angles, review its unique geography, historical and cultural heritage and Russian lifestyles.

In terms of breadth of idea and geographical scale, "Russia from the Train Window" is a one-of-a-kind project in the history of Russian photography. The exhibits show nearly all Russia from its southernmost tip to the Arctic Circle.
